in Bullion for Officer. Officers had the option of wearing this hand embroidered bullion style.
This example is hand embroidered in silver bullion on a Luftwaffe blue wool
base. A few different types of bullion thread are used in the construction of this
piece. This rare piece has some moth damage.
There is some black paper residue on the reverse from where the piece was at one

Very interesting World War One Kriegsmarine Badge. The badge has a
representation of a Imperial German Battle Flag, and naval motifs and says "NEUWIED
M.V.F.U. UMGEGEND". This badge was for members of an association of
Imperial Naval Officers. The badge appears to have been struck from
bronze. The pin is not present, but it appears that the badge utilizes a common tinnie

BERLIN". This badge was instituted by Grand Admiral Raeder on June 24,
1941 to be awarded to individuals in Naval Coastal Artillery Gun Crews either
for individual acts of merit or for the actions of the gun crew. This is
badge is made by a premier maker of Naval Badges. This zinc-based example

Nice example of a Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery Badge by an uncommon maker.
This example is made out of zinc with a silver and gilt wash over the zinc that
has faded somewhat but still is present and rates at about 80 percent.
This finish can be cleaned up with some gentle non-abrasive polish should the

Interesting Zinc-Based Luftwaffe Courier Squadron Badge. This is a pretty
crude looking piece that almost looks like a fantasy item. According to
well-respected legendary collector/dealer George Petersen this piece is no-doubt
original and "right as rain" and was issued and created during the Third Reich
era. The exact unit that this badge was issued to has not been identified,
but it was issued to members of a courier squadron by the name of "KURIER

This piece is almost 2 inches in diameter and one side shows a German Military
Victory Parade with members of the crowd giving the Nazi salute and the other
side having crests, a date, the swastika and text. This no-doubt was a
parade held after the victorious campaign in Poland as the piece is dated July

Kriegsmarine Destroyer Badge, French Made by Baqueville. The French firm
of Baqueville created a number of Naval Badges for the Kriegsmarine which had
bases in Occupied France. All French made German Navy badges utilized the same
hinge, catch and pin assemblies. These badges are all die forged and all are
zinc based. Rarer than their German made counterparts. This badge retains
about 40 percent of the original finish. The French made destroyer badge
is one of the scarcer badges in the French-made Kriegsmarine series. See

Balloon Unit Medal from "War Christmas 1940". This badge was issued by
Luftsperr-Abteilung 205, which was attached to a Flak Unit. These units
launched barrage balloons as a deterrent towards low flying Allied Aircraft.
This medal came with the miniature War Merit Ribbon, but that was probably not

Imperial German Police Warrant Disc for "UEBACH". Rare Imperial
German Police Warrant Disc for "UEBACH", Germany. The town of
Uebach-Palenberg, as it is known today, is located on the German border with The
Netherlands and is about 15 km north of Aachen. Uebach was merged with the
towns of Scherpenseel and Frelenberg to create a municipality in 1935.
This disc pre-dates the Gestapo and Kripo Police Warrant Discs. The local
police agency would buy this disc from a police supply house and engrave the
police agency name, and often the officer's number, on the disc. This warrant disc was used in the same way as a Gestapo or Kripo Warrant Disc.
This piece measures 39.5 mm in diameter and weighs 19 grams and is die struck.
