LW0012. Luftwaffe "KURIER Poehler" Courier Squadron Badge.
Interesting Zinc-Based Luftwaffe Courier Squadron Badge. This is a pretty
crude looking piece that almost looks like a fantasy item. According to
well-respected legendary collector/dealer George Petersen this piece is no-doubt
original and "right as rain" and was issued and created during the Third Reich
era. The exact unit that this badge was issued to has not been identified,
but it was issued to members of a courier squadron by the name of "KURIER
Poehler". This is a local unit award. See pictures...$

Luftwaffe Ground Assault Badge by "R.K.". Good looking multi-piece
Luftwaffe Ground Assault Badge by "R.K." being a vet-family pickup by me.
As you can see on this example the catch was soldered into the badge rather than
crimped and you will see this fairly often on these badges by this maker as it
seems that at one point the machine that did the crimping at the factory stopped
functioning. See pictures...$ 375.00
