Helmets & Headgear

H058.  German World War One M-1917 Helmet.  Good looking German World War One M-1917 Helmet that has wear to the original finish.  The helmet retains the original liner.  One of the tongues in the liner has come loose but is still present.  The helmet shell is marked "St. 66".  It is tough to find World War One German Helmets this complete and un-played with.  A nice example.  See pictures...$  495.00 (Pictures)

H076c.  Luftwaffe Double Decal Aluminum Parade Helmet, Named.  Early Luftwaffe Double Decal Aluminum Parade Helmet, named to original owner "Petzolt" on liner.  This piece was picked up by my friend from the vet's widow a while back.  I do not recall the last time I have seen one of these extremely rare helmets offered for sale.  The Luftwaffe decal is an early pattern.  The Luftwaffe decal rates at about 60 percent while the National Colors shield rates at about 80 percent.  The Luftwaffe decal has sustained a good deal of wear to the swastika area but you can still make out the outline.  This piece is worthy of further research.  There is one nickel size ding on the top rear of the helmet.  The original paint on this example is strong rating at over 98 percent.  The liner and chinstrap are all original to the helmet.  Rare!  See pictures...$  1495.00 (Pictures)

H105.  Municipal Police Officer's Shako with Parade Plume.  Great looking Municipal Police Officer's Shako with removable Parade Horse-Hair Plume.  This piece is size marked 60 1/2 on the interior and that is quite a large size.  This piece has no mothing.  This piece has an outstanding three dimensional high relief officer's aluminum eagle form fitted to the front of the piece as is correct and the correct aluminum chin scales.  This piece has a handsome officer's bullion cockade with red center as is correct.  There is some minor crazing to the patent leather on the crown of the shako but I would still rate the piece at an excellent plus.  This is the nicest such example that I have owned and this would be considered a "keeper".  See pictures...$  1750.00 (Pictures) NEW SOLD

H106c.  Named M-38 Single Decal Luftwaffe Paratrooper Helmet.  This M-38 Single Decal Luftwaffe Paratrooper Helmet was a vet-estate pickup in New Jersey from a retired New Jersey State Trooper by a friend.  The helmet retains over 90 percent of the original paint.  The shell is size and maker coded "ET71".  The liner and harness have seen better days but are for the most part present.  The decal rates at about 75 percent.  The helmet has steel vented bolts.  The liner is correctly marked in two places.  The helmet has the correct features that you want to see on an original.  The name "Eggers" is painted on the inside reverse rim in yellow paint.  This helmet has great research potential.  See pictures...$  4500.00 (Pictures) NEW SOLD
