Daggers & Swords

D286.  Dove's Head Army Officer's Sword by "ALCOSO".  Good looking Dove's Head Army Officer's Sword by "ALCOSO".  The blade is maker marked.  The blade has some pitting but is bright overall.  The scabbard on this example is an old repaint.  A solid example.  This sword is longer than usually as the wearer was a tall fellow.  See pictures...$  495.00 (Pictures)

D287.  Dove's Head Army Officer's Sword by "ALCOSO".  Good looking Dove's Head Army Officer's Sword by "ALCOSO".  The blade is maker marked and in excellent condition.  This example has early brass fittings and is a solid great looking example.  The scabbard on this one has some dings.  See pictures...$  495.00 (Pictures)

D539.  Infantry Unit Etched Dress Bayonet by E. PACK.  Good looking Infantry Unit Etched Dress Bayonet by E. PACK being a recent vet-estate pickup having an etch on one side, "Zur Erinnering an meine Dienstzeit beim Inf. Rgt. 32".  The piece is not maker marked but the fittings and etch style are attributed to this maker.  The blade is bright and the plated style showing some lifting at the tip to the plating as well as some graying in this area but this could clean up some with some careful effort..  The fittings have not been cleaned and the scabbard paint is fairly worn.  I looked up this unit and they were involved in many campaigns throughout the war.  See pictures...$  795.00 (Pictures)

D550.  Imperial Garde de Korps Officer's Sword.  Nice looking Imperial Garde de Korps Officer's Sword that is maker marked under the langet but hard to make out with shark skin covered grips that are wire-wrapped having a fine enamel star with attractive starburst.  The Garde Units were very loyal to the Kaiser and composed of elite and highly skilled officers at his disposal.  The blade on this example does have some light abrasions and pimpling but is overall bright with the plating remaining intact.  See pictures...$  1100.00 (Pictures)

D619.  Deluxe Miniature National Hunting Association Cutlass, Double-Etched, by "Busch & Sohn, Solingen".  The ¾ size National Hunting Association Cutlass by Busch & Sohn is one of the rarest miniatures, rarer than the version made by Alcoso.  The cutlass is just like its larger counterpart and the construction is fantastic with the piece being constructed just like a full size version but in smaller dimensions.  The scabbard on this piece has been lost to time so I am pricing it accordingly.  This great looking Deluxe Miniature National Hunting Association Cutlass, Double-Etched, by "Busch & Sohn, Solingen" measures 20.5cm/ 8 inches long (3/4) size.  See pictures...$  1395.00 (Pictures)

D645.  Miniature Luftwaffe Sword by Alcoso.  This piece is made just like the full-size version and comes apart like the full-size counterpart.  The drag on this piece is lost to time and this piece was originally mounted on an iron propeller.  This makes a fine display and measures 25cm/9 3/4 inches in the scabbard being a quality item.  See pictures...$  495.00 (Pictures)

D664.  1890's German Naval Dirk, Smaller Scale.  This style dirk is illustrated in the Wittmann book on German Naval Daggers on page 57 and he states that it was issued to boys attending shipyard schools in the 1890's or possibly being a "helmsman or ship's pilot trainee dirk" based on the design at the crossguard center.  This handsome piece measures 13 1/2 inches (34cm) in the scabbard and looks great along a full-size counterpart.  See pictures...$  2440.00 (Pictures)

Reiter Regiment Torgau" by Alcoso.  Beautiful example having the wording on one side and a cavalry scene on the other side with this piece having quality blued panels.  The blade is bright but does show some minor abrasions here and there from going in and out of the scabbard.  The hilt has a spot of old paint and some oxidization but should clean up.  See pictures...$  795.00 (Pictures)

D726.  Italian Model 1923 MVSN Poignard Dagger.  Early Italian Fascist dagger being the first dagger adopted by Mussolini's Blackshirts marked "MVSN" on one side of the crossguard and "F426" on the other.  This piece is in overall excellent shape for its age being the first dagger of the Fascist Era of the 20th century with the scabbard being repainted at one time and the entire piece having a good look.  The dagger fits properly into the scabbard but was not fully inserted for the photographs.  See pictures…$  1895.00 (Pictures)

D727.  Italian Fascist Model 1935 MVSN Border Guard Dagger.  These units were responsible for patrolling the Italian frontier with this being one of the scarcer Italian daggers of the era.  The blade is plated chrome and is in very good condition with a few spots of rust coming through the chrome plate.  The grips are ebony.  The original leather hanger is in place.  The original owner owner of this example has personalized it with the addition of a fascist insignia at the rear grip.  See pictures…$  2300.00 (Pictures)

D743.  Italian Fascist WW2 MVSN Officer's Dagger.  This weapon was utilized both as a service and dress weapon.  The hilt has a solid black wood grip contoured with 4 finger recesses.  The cross-guard is steel as is the upper retaining plate on the top of the grip.  The scabbard is pressed steel and appears to have been touched up in areas.  The enlisted version bears the emblem of the MVSN which is a fasces over the letters "M.V.S.N." while the officer's version has no such emblem.  The MVSN was the Fascist Party Militia in Italy at that time (Milizia Voluntaria Sicurezza Nationale).  The blade still shows a good amount of the crossgraining.  See pictures...$  595.00 (Pictures)

D829.  NSFK Flier's Knife.  This one has aluminum fittings and a nice blade.  This is the style that has a simulated leather scabbard and grip that is actually a crinkled-aluminum pattern that has been painted blue and was made around 1938 onwards.  The blue paint shows some wear but this could be repainted but it actually looks nice just as is and this is a really nice knife worn by fliers who went eventually into the Luftwaffe.  The earlier knives of this pattern had leather covered fittings but then this style came out as a newer version, possibly as a time saving pattern as the leather did not have to be separately fitted onto the piece and is actually a very interesting pattern.  (186) See pictures...$  795.00 (Pictures) JUST IN
